The Bug Collector
A story about a creature who’s greatest passion is to collect and study bugs. He can almost certainly always be found in his small shop located in a hidden alleyway where one can find all sorts of wondrous things. Rumor has it that one can bring him something that’s “broken” and if you’re lucky enough to have peaked his interest, he’ll happily take it off of you in exchange for a fair price. One must wonder what he’s doing with those things
Some early concepts of the neighborhood as well as some style explorations. At first we intended to paint the backgrounds traditionally but had to decide against that in the later process of the project
Memories of Monsoon (2022, 3’50”, 2D)
Logline: A young woman picks up a dead dragonfly and looks into its eyes. For a short instance she's transported back into her memory of her childhood and her grandmother.
My student graduation short revolving around a young woman reminiscing about her childhood days. In a team of four, I was very fortunate to be able to work on several stages of the film including the storyboarding, layouts, backgrounds designs and final background paintings.
